Software absolutely works and easily too!.
Absolutely works! Easy to use, feature-rich, and you set it up and forget it. It does the rest. Phone never rings with spam or bogus calls. This program has restored peace of mind and balance in our home. Stops unsolicited calls period. What more does anyone want than that?
Pros:
Easy set up
Easy enough to use
Cons:
Almost works too well to be true
Can't really ask for any more features More

One stop call blocking.
It will block unlimited amount of numbers, area codes, and it has white and black lists to customize blocking even further. It emails notifications of calls and it works with Outlook and FaceBook. There is customization of messages. No caller gets through unless you want the call to get through. It doubles as an answering machine.

Cons:
Nothing More

CallClerk is the real deal call blocker with unlimited amount of numbers.
I use CallClerk and I am pleased with it. It works, period. It blocks unwanted calls and the software author, Rob LaTour, is 100% on board to help with any questions or customization requests. If you want a package that really works, is easy enough to use, and take back your phone line, this is the package. I can't overcommunicate all of the above. More

In a crowded call blocker field, CallClerk stands above the rest....
I have used it for 9 months now. It does everything that is advertized and listed here. I use it with an external HiRO model 50113 USB modem (get the driver from the net, not the included cd) and it works! More

No good for Australians.
so far, it has been a spectacular failure. I'm not sure if it is because this program seems geared to the US, but it didn't log any calls to my home phone.
Pros:
small download
Cons:
It needs to be useable in Australia More

Call Clerk is the Best Program for Defeating Phone Parasites.
This software is best in class. Unlike some of the "reviewers" here, I spent 40 hours looking at all of the other programs that claim to do what this program does. Half the competing programs out there are mere answering machines, duplicating what a $10 machine from Wal-Mart can do. A lot of other programs do not work right because they are no longer being updated and were designed for modems of ten or twenty years ago. Many programs are feature-poor, so you will not be able to configure those programs to the extent you can configure this one.Call Clerk was one of the last utilities that I decided to evaluate prior to calling the telephone company and changing my telephone number, which by the way costs $65 and is a major inconvenience. No other program at this time works as well as this one.
Pros:
-this is the only program that works to filter incoming phone calls. No other program in the PC marketplace works like this one. Parasites can be identified and then subsequently blocked forever. Friendly calls you identify will be recorded, while new callers are treated as you wish them to be treated. You can with this program achieve total control over your telephone line for the first time. The program is worth not $35, but $350. That should be the price.
Cons:
-not a modern, minimalist interface, which is the sole reason the shallow small-brained reviewers here nicked it. I am a paid, registered user of Call Clerk, and it is obvious to me these other "reviewers" did not use the program for its intended purpose prior to rating Call Clerk two or three stars. If you doubt anything I've written, then go ahead and spend a couple days looking at the competition, like I did, and observe the many ways they fall short of Call Clerk. More
